Queerness & Creativity Writing Workshop
Wednesdays: Oct. 7, 14, 21, and 28 at 6 p.m. Central
(Note: All sessions will be recorded and sent to attendees in case you have to miss a week!)
What can our queerness teach us about creativity and writing? How can we explore our creativity through a queer lens? What can we learn from queer writers and their perspectives that will inspire our own creative practices?
This four-week workshop will explore the work and worldviews of queer creatives past and present to inspire our writing practices.
Each week, we will:
Read and discuss the writing and work of a queer writer/creative (potential writers include: Audre Lorde, Casey McQuiston, Ocean Vuong, Mary Oliver)
Write around prompts inspired by them and their work
Share our writing with the group (optional, but encouraged!)
Be in community with other queer folks to discuss our own creative practices
