The Room Is Listening.  Ambient AI shifts intelligence from explicit interaction to continuous inference, operating through context rather than commands. When AI acts on inferred intent rather than explicit instructions, what does meaningful human control look like in practice? Will ambient AI deliver genuine, compounding benefits (e.g., reducing friction, improving health or safety) while fading into the background, or devolve into the madness of Serious Cybernetics? And should these agents, omnipresent in our lives, be held to a fiduciary standard, required to put our interests above all others?
