OpenAI Build Week Hackathon - Fayetteville
Welcome to Fayetteville’s Build Week Hackathon. Join us for a day of building with Codex alongside our friends at ACM @ The University of Arkansas.
Build something new from scratch or push an existing project further using Codex. Run parallel tasks, experiment with Skills, and use worktrees to operate with greater speed and ambition.
This is a hands-on builder event designed to keep the room high-signal and focused on shipping.
Who this event is for
This event is for people who want to build! You do not need any experience to create, we welcome people from all fields to come out and find new ways of helping others through the power of Codex. We'll host a workshop during the event to showcase Codex workflows and help anyone unfamiliar with Codex get to building things right out of their imaginations, you can just build things!
How it works
Build something meaningful with Codex. You might:
Start a new project from scratch
Extend an existing open-source project
Prototype a new developer tool or agent workflow
Teams may have up to 4 members.
Build directions
Agentic Coding: Build developer tools that maximise leverage from Codex as an AI coding agent.
UX for Agentic Applications: Design AI-native interfaces and workflows for agent-driven software.
Multimodal Intelligence: Create applications that reason across multiple modalities.
Domain Agents: Build vertical agents that operate within real-world constraints.
Building Evals: Develop tools to measure, debug, and systematically improve agent performance.

⭐️ In addition, everyone attending the event will receive Codex Credits & API Credits to support you building for build week!

7:00pm - Hacking ends; submit GitHub repository, 2-minute video, and optional deployed link 🛑

9:15pm — 5 winners announced, prize presentation, and photos 🏆
9:30pm — Swag redemption, if applicable, after completing the survey 🎖️
