Rang De Field Trip | Ooty, Tamil Nadu

​Join us for a two-day immersive Impact Trip to Ooty, where you will meet the rural women entrepreneurs behind India’s much-loved “Indian Barbie” rag dolls - The Good Doll

These handcrafted dolls are made by women from local communities who have been trained and supported by Indian Yards Foundation. With access to affordable credit enabled through Rang De, many of these women have been able to purchase sewing machines, procure raw materials, and grow their home-based enterprises.

During this trip, you will interact with the women entrepreneurs, understand how social investments translate into livelihoods, and learn how to make your own rag doll through a hands-on workshop with these ammas of Niligiris.

Beyond the impact experience, you will also explore the beauty of the Nilgiris - stay in local homestays, walk through tea plantations, and discover the history, culture, and hidden gems of Ooty.

This journey is an opportunity to travel meaningfully, connect with communities, and experience impact on the ground!
