​Drawing on insights from Gram Vaani and foundational learnings from this domain, the session hopes to present and analyze why digital interventions often can lead to entrenching existing inequalities.

​The session will try to capture the wins of participatory, community-owned platforms and the misses of top-down "techno-solutionism" that ignores local context.

​We’ll confront the hard truth: technology is an amplifier of human intent, not a substitute for it. Without active steering toward power-based equality, digital interventions risk entrenching the very inequalities they aim to solve.
