About Event

We're excited to kick off a new chapter for our DDD community.

This is the first event in a new series exploring the broader ecosystem around Domain-Driven Design (DDD). DDD will always be at the heart of our community but we're opening the door to related ideas that challenge, enrich and expand the way we think about software systems.

And we couldn't think of a better topic to start with.

Not every community event has to introduce a new framework, programming language or design pattern. Sometimes the most valuable takeaway is simply a different way of thinking.

In this first session, we'll explore questions like:

  • What makes software stay understandable as it grows?

  • Why do some systems become increasingly difficult to reason about?

  • What can Functional Programming teach us even if we never write functional code?

  • And where do these ideas connect with Domain-Driven Design?

This isn't a framework talk and not even a language talk. It's an evening about how we think about software.

If you enjoy exploring the ideas behind software as much as building it, we'd love to see you there.

Who is this session for?

Anyone who enjoys thinking about software beyond frameworks, languages and design patterns. While the discussion will likely resonate most with software architects, senior engineers, tech leads and engineering managers, everyone curious about building understandable software is welcome.
