We will cover:
This session is designed to equip participants with essential skills in de-escalation and effective communication when working with clients experiencing high-risk situations, such as distress or suicidal thoughts.
Understanding High-Risk Situations: Recognizing signs of distress, suicidal ideation, and crisis triggers
De-Escalation Techniques: Practical strategies to reduce tension and create a safe space for dialogue
Effective Communication: How to talk empathetically and non-judgmentally with clients in crisis
Safety Planning: Collaborative approaches to develop short-term and long-term safety plans
Who can join:
This session is open to anyone
It will be primarily for Coaches and Behavioural Health Coaches who might not have as much training around de-escalation

Riithra is a mental health professional with nearly eight years of experience specializing in addiction treatment. Having worked across multiple residential rehabilitation centers and managed outpatient programs, Riithra brings a deep understanding of substance and behavioral addictions.
In addition to addiction, Riithra has extensive experience working with psychiatric cases, including borderline personality disorder, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and eating disorders. Passionate about mental health care, Riithra is dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based support to individuals on their journey to recovery.
