Stories We Become: A Playground for Regenerative Storytelling

A guided exploration of regenerative storytelling, inviting us to become curious about the stories we inhabit, loosen our grip on the narratives that no longer serve us, and play with more life-giving ways of seeing, sensing and relating.

This session offers a glimpse of Stories We Become, a journey into regenerative storytelling, systems thinking, and futures imagination. Together, we’ll create space for reflection, shared inquiry and the possibility of imagining differently.

This is not a training. It’s a playground — an invitation to explore, experiment, and discover how the stories we carry shape the futures we can imagine and bring into being.

🌀 Why Now?

We live inside stories. Inherited narratives shape how we design, lead, govern, educate and relate to one another. They influence what we value, what we consider possible, and the ways we organise our lives together.

Many of these stories are showing their limits. Stories of extraction, individual heroism, endless growth, control and separation continue to shape our institutions and cultures, even as the consequences become harder to ignore.

As we face compounding ecological, social, and cultural crises, we are confronted with more than a crisis of systems. We are also facing a crisis of imagination: a narrowing of the futures we can envision and the possibilities we can recognise in the present.

Regenerative storytelling begins with the understanding that the stories we tell are never separate from the worlds we create. They shape how we perceive a situation, how we respond to it, and how we relate to the living systems of which we are part.

What might become possible if we learned to recognise the stories shaping our choices, question the assumptions they carry, and make room for narratives that nourish life rather than diminish it?

This is the inquiry at the heart of Stories We Become.

✨ Who This Is For

This invitation is for anyone who senses the limits of dominant narratives and feels drawn towards more relational, life-giving ways of imagining and shaping the world.

  • Designers, facilitators, and educators exploring futures literacy, relational design, and new ways of working with complexity.

  • Coaches, practitioners, and community weavers interested in the relationship between personal narratives, collective resilience, and cultural change.

  • Organisational leaders and cultural workers seeking to move beyond extractive ways of thinking and communicating towards more regenerative practices.

  • Writers, artists, and curious minds who want to explore the role of imagination in shaping how we live together.

  • Anyone feeling the pull towards different stories — stories that make room for interdependence, care, and the possibility of becoming otherwise.

You don’t need a background in storytelling or systems thinking. Just bring your curiosity and a willingness to explore.

🧵 What We Will Explore

In this 60-minute experiential session, we will:

  • Notice the stories we have inherited. Explore the assumptions and narratives that shape how we see ourselves, one another, and the world around us.

  • Make space for what wants to change. Through gentle reflective and embodied practices, begin to recognise which stories have become limiting and what might emerge as we loosen their hold.

  • Experiment with new possibilities. Explore how shifting a story can open up different ways of seeing, relating, and responding to the situations we inhabit.

  • Experience the Regenerative Storytelling Playbook. Get a taste of the practices and principles that inform Stories We Become, a wider journey into unlearning inherited narratives, cultivating collective imagination, and reweaving the stories through which we shape our futures.

You’ll leave with a new perspective to carry into your own life and work, alongside a glimpse of what becomes possible when we begin to treat storytelling as a living practice of care, imagination, and transformation.

🌱 Continue the Journey: Stories We Become

This workshop is a small window into Stories We Become — a guided journey into regenerative storytelling, systems thinking, and futures imagination.

Over 12 weeks, we’ll explore the stories we’ve inherited, experiment with new ways of seeing and relating, and cultivate the imagination to participate in more life-giving futures. Through reflective practices, collective inquiry, speculative storytelling, and playful experimentation, we’ll explore how the stories we carry shape not only our inner worlds, but the cultures and systems we help create.

Registration is now open. If this session sparks your curiosity and you’d like to explore these questions more deeply, I’d love to welcome you into the journey.
