Join us at Carnegie Mellon for a conversation on what it actually takes to run AI at scale in the life sciences — from generative molecular design and protein engineering to genomics and single-cell analysis.

​Our speaker, Dr. Laura Boykin Okalebo, is Life Science Solutions Partner at Nebius, where she builds the company's life sciences business across the US and works with biotech, pharma, and techbio teams running compute-intensive AI workloads on purpose-built GPU infrastructure. She's a computational biologist by training: her research used supercomputing and genomics to help smallholder farmers in Sub-Saharan Africa fight the whitefly, one of the world's most destructive agricultural pests and a threat to the cassava crops that feed hundreds of millions. She partners with African scientists to build genomics and computing capacity across the continent, and is a Senior TED Fellow.
