About Event

Hey everyone,

This Wednesday 10-11am PT / 1-2pm ET is our weekly digital get together to connect on how we are all making our way through this new era for creative industries and AI among other emergent technologies, sharing ideas, tips, knowledge amongst ourselves.

Our group is an amazing mix of creators/producers/builders/some new to this stuff/ some OG/ all of us constantly learning.

You can join however you want - camera on, camera off. It's ok if you just want to listen, but it's more fun if you participate. We usually meet every two weeks.

This week we'll be joined by:

Stuart Acher

Son of a Polish-born opera singer and an Egyptian father, I launched my career after being discovered by Roger Ebert at Sundance for my short film Bobby Loves Mangos, leading to a development deal at DreamWorks. As an Emmy-nominated editor turned director, I’ve helmed numerous features and television projects, including Season 5 of Z Nation (Syfy/Netflix), #Stuck (Amazon), which I also wrote—earning accolades like Best Director at Sun Valley—and Mantervention (Amazon), starring Mario Van Peebles and Chloe Bridges. I also wrote and directed His Fatal Fixation, one of Lifetime’s top-rated originals, and my feature documentary Pay Dirt, which I wrote, produced, and edited, is set to hit Netflix this winter.

Most recently, I completed Next Stop Paris, an ambitious AI generative film for TCL Studios—my debut in synthetic cinema and one of the most creatively demanding projects of my career. A graduate of Boston University’s College of Communication with distinction, I’m an alum of the ABC Directors Program and a member of both the Directors Guild and Editors Guild of America. As a lead editor, I’ve worked on 100+ projects for Netflix, HBO, Amazon, ABC, CBS, and more, with high-profile credits including Naked and Afraid and The Walking Dead.
