About Event

ODSC AI is back in Atlanta! We host data science communities across the globe, and now it’s time to bring our local experts together for an evening of hands-on AI development.

This event is hosted in partnership with Snowflake, bringing you the latest tools to solve the "data hurdle" for AI agents. While agents are becoming essential to modern apps, giving them secure, structured access to enterprise data remains a challenge. Join us to learn how the Model Context Protocol (MCP) changes the game.

The Workshop

Topic: What’s Your Agent’s GPA? Evaluating MCP-Powered Agents.

Building and Evaluating Data Agents with MCP AI agents are only as good as the data they can access. In this session, Josh Reini (Snowflake) will lead a practical workshop on using MCP servers to connect agents to real enterprise data sources with minimal setup.

You'll get practical experience with:

  • Spinning up a Cortex AI MCP server using Snowflake’s open-source tooling.

  • Connecting AI agents to Cortex Analyst, Cortex Search, and Cortex Agents through MCP.

  • Executing multi-step tasks like document summarization, insight extraction, and dashboard generation.

  • Evaluating and improving tools to boost your agent's performance.

By the end of the night, you’ll have a working data agent powered by Cortex AI MCP Servers and the tools to extend your own applications with agent-native workflows on Snowflake.

The Speaker

Josh Reini, Developer Advocate at Snowflake Josh focuses on empowering developers to build sophisticated AI applications. At Snowflake, he advocates for seamless data integration and helps teams leverage Cortex AI to create powerful, agent-native workflows.
