Kolodiy is a Ukrainian winter farewell celebration, traditionally held during the last week before Lent. It’s a joyful time marked by food, games, and fertility rituals.
At Kulturrummet, we will explore the roots and meanings of Kolodiy in a playful, social atmosphere. We will also taste traditional Ukrainian dishes: varenyky (dumplings) and mlyntsi (crêpes) — and learn how food becomes a living story of culture and community.
