About Event

Women grow most of Africa's food. They own almost none of the land it grows on.

They make up over half the workforce in African agrifood systems, but hold just 13% of land, receive under 10% of formal credit, and female agritech founders have raised less than 5% of venture funding.

In 2026, the UN declared this the Year of the Woman Farmer. The recognition showed up, but the capital, the land, and the tech didn't.

So we're skipping the applause and asking the harder question: what does profitable, dignified farming for women actually look like, and who's going to pay for it?

Join us for a live conversation between a founder building market infrastructure for farmers and an investor writing the cheques, on what the ecosystem has to do differently.

🎙️ Speakers

  • Hafsah Jumare — Founder & CEO, Coamana
Hafsah builds the digital infrastructure that connects farmers, agribusinesses, and governments to stronger agricultural markets across Africa. A behavioural economist trained at the University of Cape Town, she blends behavioural science, AI, and market systems to widen market access and financial inclusion for farmers — with work spanning Kenya and Nigeria alongside governments, development organisations, and financial institutions.

  • Fisayo Ojo — Farmties Capital
Fisayo works at the intersection of investment, trade, and African food systems, helping SMEs and growth-stage agribusinesses get investment-ready and reach export markets. At Farmties Capital she supports trade finance and private credit for export-oriented African businesses, across due diligence, portfolio management, and fundraising. She's previously worked on capital raising and investor engagement spanning agriculture, energy, and infrastructure — including USAID, UNDP, and AGRA-backed programmes totalling over $10M.

  • Moderated by Hannatu Asheolge — Ag Safari
