Introduction to Electronics and Computing: Build a Simple Logic Circuit
Part of the CDT Maker Club August Takeover
Join Mark Adrian Stokes, Senior Lecturer in Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics at the University of East London, for a practical introduction to electronics and computing.
During this three-hour lab session, you will learn the basics of electronic circuits, how to safely use a soldering iron and how to build a simple logic circuit on a vero board.
The same workshop will be repeated on selected Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays throughout the August Takeover. Participants should book one session only.
What you’ll learn
The basic principles of electronics and logic circuits
How common electronic components work together
How to use a soldering iron safely
How to assemble and solder a simple circuit onto a vero board
No previous electronics or soldering experience is required. Full instructions and safety guidance will be provided throughout the workshop.
