🎞️ Synopsis
When her husband falls mysteriously ill and medical treatment offers no answers, Yan turns to village rituals, a local shaman, and the legends surrounding Mount Keriang.

Set near the Thailand–Malaysia border, The Story of Southern Islet follows her search without separating illness from family, belief, or land. The film asks what people turn to when ordinary explanations fail, and how local knowledge continues to shape everyday life when medicine reaches its limits.
