About Event

What does global solidarity look like right now? Join Green Empowerment for a participatory roundtable that explores how community-led solutions abroad connect to the moral and civic questions many of us are grappling with at home.

Format

Together, we’ll watch three short film clips highlighting communities organizing to access water and energy, with women playing central roles as organizers, caretakers, and decision-makers. Between clips, we’ll gather at our tables for guided discussion and shared learning. This is not a lecture—it’s a space to reflect, listen, and explore how collective action and gender equity strengthen communities.

Dig In

As federal support for international humanitarian work has been dismantled, communities around the world are increasingly left to meet climate and development challenges on their own. Meanwhile, many of us are organizing locally to support immigrant neighbors and defend human dignity. These struggles are connected. In this discussion, we’ll consider what we can learn from communities abroad and how we can respond together.
