About Event
We're reading one book, out loud, start to finish over the course of two afternoons.
The book is Dodge City, Patrick deWitt's latest novel — just longlisted for the 2026 Giller Prize — follows a 23-year-old draft dodger's tour to say goodbye to his unravelling family, before he crosses into Canada for good. Funnier and stranger than that sounds.
We'll take turns reading aloud. There's no pressure to perform, you can read when you want to, or listen when you don't. In between reading we'll enjoy a tour of the gallery's current show, lunch and beverages included, and we'll close the day with happy hour and conversation.
The cost is $75 which includes your own copy of the book.
