Dr. Wendy Tan is an entrepreneur, researcher, and author with a deep interest in how human beings learn and contribute meaningfully in an increasingly digital world. Her work has led to three books: Wholeness in a Disruptive World, Learning Agility and her newest Smarter: 5 Steps to True Human-AI Collaboration — grounded in original research on how professionals think, and stop thinking, when working with AI. Wendy is the founder of The Flame Centre, and holds a PhD alongside the Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) designation
Kush Amerasinghe, Founder, BrainBank, has been building generative AI from the inside longer than most. He co-founded the first generative AI teams at Adobe — where Neural Filters in Photoshop became the company's debut into what we now call GenAI — and led generative AI incubation at Amazon Ads, working alongside Anthropic, Stability AI, and NVIDIA to bring multi-modal AI products to market. He also contributed to early AI ethics frameworks and bias-reduction methods, and was part of Adobe's Content Authenticity Initiative, the industry effort bringing transparency to AI-generated media.
Today at BrainBank, he's building next-generation agentic AI systems — and asking harder questions about what AI tool design owes its users' cognitive health.
His talk brings the builder's perspective: how the tools developers use — and build — can either preserve or quietly erode the human thinking they depend on.
