Climate Partnerships: Pre-COP31 Convening

​Opening Vietnam Climate Week 2026, the Hanoi Summit is a Pre-COP31 event bringing together senior government representatives, diplomatic missions, development partners, development finance institutions and private-sector leaders.

​This event is co-hosted by the Department of International Cooperation and the Department of Climate Change (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment), together with SNV Netherlands Development Organisation. It will facilitate dialogue on Vietnam’s climate strategies and programmes towards its net-zero ambition, as well as the country’s contributions to international commitments at COP31.

​Discussions will cover Vietnam’s climate transition pathway, energy transition and electrification, climate adaptation and resilience, and climate change mitigation in agriculture and the environment.
