Climate Partnerships: Pre-COP31 Convening

​Opening Vietnam Climate Week 2026, the Hanoi Summit is a Pre-COP31 event bringing together senior government representatives, diplomatic missions, development partners, development finance institutions and private-sector leaders.

​Led by SNV and organised in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, the event will be co-chaired by the Ministry’s Department of Climate Change and Department of International Cooperation. It will facilitate dialogue on Vietnam’s climate strategies and programmes towards its net-zero ambition, as well as the country’s contributions to international commitments at COP31.

​Discussions will cover Vietnam’s climate transition pathway, energy transition and electrification, climate adaptation and resilience, and climate change mitigation in agriculture and the environment.
