​Launch a Startup Over a Weekend ​✨

​Join us for an action-packed weekend where you'll discover what it really takes to think, work, and build like an entrepreneur – surrounded by energy, ideas, and over 100 fellow aspiring founders. In just over a weekend you will:

• ​Team up, brainstorm, validate, and build a startup idea from scratch

• ​Learn from expert mentors

• ​Pitch your idea to judges

​No matter your degree, experience, or background – if you’ve got curiosity and ambition, this weekend is for you!

​Friday 24th October, 5pm - 9pm | Kickstart & Connect 🎉

• ​Kick-off evening where you'll meet new people, pitch your idea, and form teams.

​Saturday 25th October, 9am - 6pm | Ready, Set, Build ⚙️

• ​Roll up your sleeves and dive right in! Work on defining the problem, building a solution, and testing it to create something brilliant.

​Sunday 26th October, 9am - 8pm | Pitch & Celebrate 🎤

• ​Polish your idea, create a compelling pitch, and present it to the judges for a shot at winning some exciting prizes. End the evening with a celebration of everything you've achieved!

​🍎🍵 Food and drink will be provided to fuel your startup journey (pizzas and drinks on Friday, lunch on Saturday and Sunday, and hot/cold drinks throughout the weekend)

​This is a paid event ❗

​If your application is accepted, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to proceed with the payment of the non-refundable £10 event contribution fee. Your place will not be secured until this fee is paid.

​This contribution includes pizzas and drinks on Friday, lunch on Saturday and Sunday, and hot/cold drinks throughout the weekend.

​Who can apply? 📝

• ​Current students at the University of Manchester (UG, Master’s/PGT, PGR/PhD)

• ​Graduates from the University of Manchester within the last 2 years (on or after 1st December 2023)

• ​A limited number of places will be made available for external applicants

• ​Aspiring entrepreneurs, creatives, programmers, researchers – anyone with a passion for innovation!

• ​Accepted applicants are responsible to proceed with the £10 non-refundable event fee payment.

• ​Participants are responsible for attending and checking in all three days (Friday-Sunday)

​📸 By attending, all participants agree to be photographed and filmed as required by the Masood Entrepreneurship Centre to be used for marketing purposes. Guidance will be provided prior and during the event if you wish to withdraw your consent.
