Dante's Hifi Presents: Local Heroes

​Sebastián Posso and Mezcalearics meet at Dante’s HiFi for a session where New York’s underground sensibility meets the free-spirited musical culture of Ibiza.

​Based in New York, Sebastián Posso is a selector whose musical universe stretches from Italo disco and new wave to post-punk, cosmic electronics and obscure dancefloor records. His Space Punk Discoteca project reflects that particular vision: a space for vinyl romantics and sonic outsiders, bringing together Italo synths, disco, new wave and leftfield sounds with a distinctly underground attitude. His sets are built around discovery, digging deep into records that sit outside conventional genre boundaries.

​Mezcalearics bring a different but complementary perspective, rooted in Ibiza and in the Balearic tradition of open-minded, emotionally charged selection. Their sessions combine vinyl, Latin influences, disco, soul and forgotten gems with a strong sense of nostalgia and Mediterranean atmosphere—a philosophy that has made them a distinctive presence across the island.

​At Dante’s HiFi, these two musical worlds come together naturally: New York’s cosmic underground crossing paths with Ibiza’s Balearic spirit.
