​Session 1: Jugaad vs. JFR: What Your Java Libraries Are Really Costing You

​This session uses live, dependency-free Java benchmarks measured with Java Flight Recorder (JFR) to explore what these commonly used libraries actually cost.

​We'll look at:

• ​Jackson — reflection and serialization overhead

• ​Hibernate — the N+1 query problem

• ​Lombok — hidden tooling and maintenance trade-offs

• ​JFR & async-profiler — seeing what is really happening under the hood

​You'll leave with runnable demo code, practical profiling commands, and a 5-question checklist for evaluating dependencies before they become production problems.

​Session 2: JobRunr - Easy Distributed Job Scheduling
