BetaKit Welcome Party

​BetaKit is expanding its coverage of the Prairie tech community in 2026, with a full-time journalist based right here in Edmonton.

​This is a huge win for our region, and one that came together in true Edmonton fashion: through the collective power of our community coming together to make it happen.

​Join us as we officially welcome BetaKit to Edmonton and kick off 2026 together.

​We’ll have light programming and brief remarks at 5:00pm, with plenty of time before and after to reconnect, meet new faces, and celebrate what’s ahead.

​BetaKit’s full-time journalist role in Edmonton is funded for two years through an innovative partnership with YEGAF, a not-for-profit entity supported by some of the region’s leading startup organizations and economic development agencies.
