​join us for a poetry reading and conversation with Richardine Mamam Nbiba.

​Richardine will read from her documentary poetry manuscript, which returns to the South Bronx fires of the 1970s and the ways their effects still shape the borough and its people. drawing on archival research, oral histories, and community voices, the poems bring personal memory into conversation with public history, tracing displacement, Black life, and the stories official records leave out.

​after the reading, we’ll stay with the work together: how it was made, what it asks of us, and what it means to lose a place, to endure, and to write to remember.
