THE STORY OF YOU, or how to share your value(s) with the world (ONLINE)
You know you have something valuable to offer. But when it comes to expressing it — to a potential employer, a new connection, a room full of strangers — something doesn't land.
Maybe you're proud of the multiple identities you hold, but you can't quite put them together in a way that makes sense to others. Maybe you've pivoted careers and the old story doesn't fit anymore. Maybe you hold back in certain contexts, worried that showing all of who you are might upset the balance.
The result is the same: you're unable to connect at the level you want to. Something always feels like it's missing.
You're not alone. Many of us carry this quiet dissonance — a sense that there's meaning in our journey, a thread running through it, but we can't quite articulate it.
Here's the insight at the heart of this work: when we find it difficult to express something about who we are, it's usually because there's something incoherent in the story we're telling ourselves. There are things we don't realise matter to us. Gaps we haven't looked at. It's generally when we're confronted with a problem out in the world that we realise there's inner work to do.
Anne Mühlethaler has been there — more than once. For a few years, she was doing a lot of different things: advising luxury brands on communication and business development, hosting a podcast, training as a coach and mindfulness teacher, then she started writing. When people asked what she did, she'd stumble. The threads were clearly connected to her, but she couldn't explain how.
Since then, various people have come to Anne for coaching around uncovering their stories and how to express themselves more clearly — some were friends, some strangers who'd been reading her newsletter, and listened to her podcasts. They arrived with different questions: I'm bad at talking about myself and I need to find a job. Or: I'm known for this, but I want to pivot into that. What she noticed, again and again, were gaping holes in their self-narrative — the same kind she'd seen in clients over the years, the same kind she'd had herself.
It's hard to project outward what we want if we haven't spent time in reflection.
Story of You is the beginning of that work.
This isn't a silver bullet. It won't bring you immediate success or a polished elevator pitch. What it offers is a space to dig into the stories that matter — stories that speak about your values in ways you may not be expecting.
Through some theory, assisted with coaching tools, contemplative practices, and guided reflections, Anne guides participants to excavate moments that shaped them. You'll begin to see threads you hadn't noticed. And from that clarity — that connection to self — comes the springboard for connection with others.
This workshop is for you if:
You're proud of your multiple identities but struggle to put them together coherently
You're navigating a transition and the old story doesn't fit anymore
You hold back in certain contexts, unsure how to show all of who you are
You want to understand what actually matters to you — not as ideas, but through moments you've lived
You're ready to begin the work of self-reflection, not skip to the "how do I sell myself" part
What happens: In two hours, you'll use visualisation, journaling, and small group sharing to surface relevant experiences and turn them into stories that illuminate who you are and what matters to you. You'll leave with the beginning of a clearer self-narrative, a clearer understanding of your values, and a framework for continuing the journey.
Our flow (120 minutes):

About your guide: Anne Mühlethaler is a story coach, meditation teacher, and founder of Le Trente. Prior to that, Anne spent 17 years at Christian Louboutin, where she held various roles including SVP of Global Communications. This methodology emerged from her own ongoing process of making sense of her story, from her contemplative practices, coaching tools — and from working with others navigating the same terrain. She'd be honoured to guide you through the same exploration.
Previously delivered for: Career Women's Forum Geneva • The Marketing MeetUp • Soho House Berlin
What past participants say:
"It was insightful to see that our real values are not necessarily at the surface. We need to go deep down inside of ourselves to see them."
"Anne has the unique ability to act like a human mirror. She comprehends the essence of a person and reflects it back in a way that allows one to see it clearly."
