a remote 5-session poetry workshop taught by our co-editor-in-chief & award-winning poet ashley d. escobar. 

ashley d. escobar is the author of glib, chosen by eileen myles, & holds an mfa from columbia university.

we will explore various genres and forms such as ars poetica and persona to offer a kaleidoscopic view of our lives. we will also explore the world of submitting to literary journals and small press publishing.

sample readings include eileen myles, mary ruefle, fernando pessoa, denis johnson, alice notley, & frank o'hara. 

each student will have the opportunity to be workshopped at least twice paired with in-class discussions, free writes, & activities.
