Days 2 & 3 — GitHub Copilot Hackathon

In a hands-on lab environment, over two high‑energy days, teams will put Copilot to the test through a guided hackathon focused on real‑world development challenges. With mentorship, collaboration, and rapid prototyping at the center, participants will:

Gain a clear understanding of how GitHub Copilot enhances productivity and elevates the coding experience
Develop a C# application using GitHub Copilot as a coding partner
Build and refine an Azure Resource Manager (ARM) template with AI‑assisted guidance
Explore and apply advanced Copilot features for smarter, faster development
Generate clean, structured documentation using Copilot’s natural‑language capabilities
GitHub Copilot Development Outcomes
Participants will walk away having learned how to:
Build applications in VS Code using GitHub Copilot for AI‑assisted development
Create, refactor, and test an Azure OpenAI web application
Automate deployment pipelines using GitHub Actions and secure secrets management
Enhance applications with prompt engineering, feature expansion, and collaborative workflows powered by Copilot Agent
