🔴⚪️Lancaster Loop: Learn & Play Mahjong!
🀄 Join the Lancaster Loop for a night of Mahjong
Two separate training & playing events, come for one or both, you'll leave knowing how to play! The format will be the same each time, an introduction to Mahjong.
📅 April 14th & April 28th
🕕 6–8 PM, optional play & mingle afterwards
Seats are limited to 52 guests each night, and we’ll have two wonderful Mahjong professionals leading the way.
Danielle with The 717 Mahj Circle
Lara with Lara's Mahjong Edit
They’ll be teaching, guiding, and encouraging players throughout the training.
What is Mahjong?
Think of it as a mix of cards, dominoes, and a little strategy magic. It’s social, a bit competitive, and a great excuse to gather around a table with neighbors and new friends.
What to expect:
• Two separate opportunities for learning and playing - come for one or both, you'll leave either knowing how to play! The format will be the same each time, an introduction to Mahjong.
• Instruction from experienced Mahjong teachers
• Tables of four with everything you need to play included
• A welcoming environment for beginners and casual players
• Drinks available from the venue
New to Mahjong? Perfect. We’ll start the evening with instruction and then move into some gameplay.
Already know how to play? Join for open play at West Art beginning May 5th and every first Tuesday thereafter.
Whether you’ve never touched a tile, played a few times, or already have your own set, come out and meet some neighbors across the Mahjong table.
Cost: $40 per instructional event. Come and learn once or return and double down on your learning.
Location: West Art, Lancaster City
Time: 6–9 PM
Sign-ups are now open.
Let’s build some community… one Mahjong table at a time.
Parking: While we do not have a designated parking lot on site, there is usually plenty of free street parking around neighboring Buchanan Park. West Art is in a residential neighborhood, and it’s important for us to be a good neighbor to our fantastically supportive community. We always encourage walking, biking and carpooling when possible! When parking, try to use the Buchanan Park side of the street rather than taking the spaces in front of houses.
