Join Women in Computing at Cornell (WICC) and Cornell AI Alignment (CAIA) for Panera Bread, crafts, and conversations about AI safety!
We'll be painting T-shirts and tote bags and making Perler bead creations. CAIA will also give a quick, interactive introduction to AI safety: what could go wrong as AI gets more powerful, from misuse and loss of control to job displacement and concentration of power, and what we can do about it.
You'll also hear about CAIA's intro course (CS 1998), policy and technical reading groups, socials, and upcoming research opportunities.
Come for the free food and crafts, and stay for the nerdy conversations. No AI background needed!
