Spiritually Igbo
A bi-monthly gathering for curious and open minded people.
It can be lonely exploring Odinani, you might be the only one in your family or friendship circle. It doesn't have to be that way, come to the park with us! Let's explore our ancestral knowledge, connect and uplift.
What to expect:
Honest conversation on the highs and lows of exploring Odinani in a society where African Spiritualities are harshly judged.
Signposting to useful information on Odinani.
Seed bomb workshop so you can easily plant wildflowers and bring life to your surroundings.
The opportunity to take part in a book swap of Igbo and Black literature.
Holding space respectfully
We gather not to convince others of right or wrong but to know ourselves and each other in order to understand how Odinani develops one's chi.
Akárà-áká dị̀ na íchè na íchè - All beings have unique destinies and as such are uniquely endowed.
For your information:
Bring a blanket if you have one, but a few will be available.
Water and light refreshments will be provided, feel free to bring something to share.
About the book swap: when you finish reading bring it back to the next gathering for someone else.
Limited spaces available, join the whatsapp community or follow us on instagram to find out about the next gathering and join the discussion.
This is a community gathering for those of African descent.
