Holdin' Court Mural Dedication
Seed Lynn’s Holdin’ Court is now part of Bronzeville! Join Chicago Public Art Group at 47th Street and King Drive to celebrate this new mural honoring the South Side’s chess community and the Black men who hold court at the board.
Meet the artist, experience the work up close, and enjoy music from special guest DJ Duane Powell. The celebration will also feature a five-round blitz chess tournament with prints for prizes, a portrait booth, light refreshments, and opportunities to share more stories from the community. There is no entry fee to participate in the tournament!
Bring a friend, invite a neighbor, and join us in celebrating a new landmark for the neighborhood. We look forward to seeing you there!
Rain location: SpaceShare Lab, 4445 S. King Drive.
