Electric Medway Cinema Club presents... Wolfwalkers (2020)

🎞️ Are you ready for your next wild adventure? Discover the lost Irish legend of Wolfwalkers.

In a time of superstition and magic, a young apprentice hunter, Robyn Goodfellowe, journeys to Ireland with her father to wipe out the last wolf pack. While exploring the forbidden lands outside the city walls, Robyn befriends a free-spirited girl, Mebh, a member of a mysterious tribe rumored to have the ability to transform into wolves by night. As they search for Mebh’s missing mother, Robyn uncovers a secret that draws her further into the enchanted world of the WOLFWALKERS and risks turning into the very thing her father is tasked to destroy.

Presented by Cartoon Saloon and Mélusine Productions, Wolfwalkers is directed by Tomm Moore and Ross Stewart, with original music composed by Bruno Coulais. Voices include Sean Bean, Honor Kneafsey, Eva Whittaker and Maria Doyle Kennedy.

🐺 Visit the box office on arrival to pick up a free Wolfwalkers Activity Pack, as part of your ticket.

🍿 Light snacks are also available to purchase from our box office during the event.

Quarantine (2018)

🎥 Ahead of Wolfwalkers, we are thrilled to be showing a stop motion animation from Kent artist, Astrid Goldsmith. Quarantine is a post-Brexit pagan dance fantasy, about a troupe of Morris-dancing badgers on the south coast of England, who are trying to avoid the animal quarantine compound which has been built above their burrow.

Astrid Goldsmith is an award-winning stop motion animator and writer. Based in Folkestone, she set up stop-motion studio (Mock Duck Studios) in 2012 and has made award-winning short films including Squirrel Island and Quarantine. Her commercial work for brands include Duracell, Nike, Ford Fiesta and a Christmas-special music video for Blossoms. Astrid won the Observer/Jonathan Cape prize in 2021 for her comic A Funeral in Freiburg, and in 2026 her debut graphic novel The Crystal Vase was published.
