Community Quire
You’ve seen it on the ’gram. Or a friend of yours is in that Quire you keep hearing about. You’ve wondered, “Wait, how do I join that?”
Wellllll, now you can!
Community Quire is pretty simple: get a bunch of people who can sing and LOVE to sing in a room for a few hours, learn something together, and then SING IT. That’s the whole idea. And turns out, it’s a blast
This is a just-for-fun Quire. No auditions, no performances (well, maybe a nursing home or two) no prep for, no huge commitment. You don’t need to be a pro, and it’s totally okay if it’s been a long time since you’ve sung with a group.
The goal is fun + community. Meet some people. Make some friends. Learn something. Sing the hell out of it. Leave happier than you came.

Do I need to know how to read music?
Nope! If you can, great. If not, totally fine.
How much singing experience do I need?
You should be able to sing and generally know what part you sing in a choir: soprano, alto, tenor, bass, etc. You definitely do NOT need to be a professional. If you love singing and can hold your own in a group, you belong here.
What are we working toward?
FUN. Truly. We get together, learn something, sing it together, and have a really good time doing it. That’s the goal.
What should I bring?
We’ll have sheet music! Bring a binder if you’re Type A, hold the sheets if you’re not, or bring an iPad for the digital version. Bring a water bottle. People also sometimes bring snacks or drinks to share.
Where exactly is it? And what’s the parking situation?
We’re typically in the cafeteria, but occasionally we move around campus. We’ll send an update the night before and again day-of with the exact location, plus all our hot tips for where to park and how to find us. So keep an eye on your email!
Can I bring friends?
YES. Please! The more the merrier. Just make sure everyone signs up so we have a headcount.
