Struggling to find focused time for your most important writing projects? Whether you are working on an EA Forum post, an impact-oriented thesis, a policy brief, or writing related to your high-impact career development—the Tuesday Writing Circle is your dedicated space for deep work.
As part of the PEAKS Community University, we aim to create an environment where we support each other in becoming the best versions of ourselves to tackle the world's most pressing problems. This group is specifically for individuals whose writing projects are tied to Effective Altruism, positive impact, or relevant personal development. (Please note: This space is not intended for regular university assignments or theses that have no connection to doing good or positive impact.)
🕒 Schedule (16:00 – 18:00)
16:00 – 16:10 | Setting Intentions: We start with a quick round of introductions. Everyone shares what they are working on and sets a clear, achievable goal for the session (e.g., "drafting 500 words for an EA Forum post" or "outlining an AI Safety paper").
16:10 – 17:50 | Focused Writing (Deep Work): This is our uninterrupted, silent writing time. We use this block to finally make real progress on our impact-focused projects without distractions.
17:50 – 18:00 | Wrap-up & Progress Sharing: We come back together briefly to share how the session went, discuss any insights or roadblocks, and celebrate our progress.

💻 What to bring
Your laptop, charger, and any notes or resources you need for your project.
Headphones (if you prefer listening to music or white noise while writing).
👥 Who is this for? Anyone in the PEAKS network and the wider community who is working on ambitious, truth-seeking, and impact-oriented writing. If you want to actively improve the world and appreciate a productive atmosphere among like-minded peers, you are exactly in the right place.
Please make sure to register for each session you plan to attend so we can prepare the space accordingly!
