What it's about
An open evening panel for women interested in career transition towards Safer and more Ethical AI. Hear directly from women already working in the field: how they got in, what kinds of roles actually exist, and practical advice on applying and positioning yourself; followed by informal networking.
Who it's for
Women at any career stage, from any background
Especially those early in exploring AI safety, AI Ethics or those who don't yet know much about the field
No prior AI/ML experience or industry background required, we actually purposefully encourage women with low AI safety context to join
Discussion around:
Real stories of personal transition into AI safety: what were the learnings, what were the most valuable activities and resources, what would they recommend participants do tomorrow
What kinds of roles exist: operations, funding, technical safety, governance, evaluations, communications, and more
Practical insights on applying and positioning: what stands out, common mistakes, how to translate outside experience
The panel is a final event of a 2 day mastermind for mid career women looking for ways to contributing to Safer and more Ethical AI -> Current | AI Futures Lab.
