About our speaker:
Ian Finn is a Senior Product Executive, author, and speaker working in identity, platform, and AI at enterprise scale. Across a 20-year track record and six senior leadership roles, spanning three FTSE 100 companies, two Fortune Global 500 organisations, and one major multinational, he has led major transformation programmes serving tens of millions of customers.
At Tesco PLC, Ian leads the Identity platform, a mission-critical domain serving customer accounts across five markets and twelve Group subsidiaries. He rebuilt Tesco's authentication approach using ML-based risk signals, cutting login friction by 35%, and spearheaded a 100% in-house build of Passkeys, delivering passwordless authentication to up to six million web customers. He played a central role in two of Tesco's most significant Group events: the £700m divestiture of Tesco Bank to Barclays, and the company's first-ever Group-level identity integration (Tesco Insurance & Money Services).
Before Tesco, Ian spent a decade as founder of Next Level Digital, delivering senior interim leadership across seven sectors, including Motorola, Sky, Barclays, Vodafone, and the Department for International Trade, where he turned around a critical Global CRM platform underpinning the UK's £1.3 trillion FDI pipeline.
Ian is the author of Product Truths: Five Principles for Building Products That Work at Scale (2026), distilling two decades of product leadership into five principles for building what actually survives contact with real-world complexity. He speaks regularly on identity, platform, and AI at scale, including at CX in Financial Services (2026), and is recognised through 46 industry awards.
This combination, delivery at genuine scale, published thought leadership, and an active engagement on industry stages, makes Ian a compelling voice on identity, platform strategy, and AI-era product leadership: someone who has built, written, and spoken about these challenges in equal measure.
