A former co-founder of two AI startups and co-founder of the Linux Foundation AI & Data, he played a leading role in shaping global open-source AI standards. Ofer also contributes to NIST’s AISIC, the U.S. government’s initiative advancing AI safety, and is a frequent speaker on AI strategy, safety, and the future of intelligent organizations.

​Dr. Jonathan Rosenfeld is the Co-Founder and CTO of Somite.ai, a biotech startup leveraging AI to revolutionize regenerative medicine by producing human tissue for cell-based therapies. He also leads the FundamentalAI group at MIT FutureTech, focusing on the foundational safety and performance limits of deep learning and artificial general intelligence (AGI). Dr. Rosenfeld holds a Ph.D. and MSc in Computer Science from MIT, as well as a BA in Physics, BSc in Electrical Engineering, and an MBA from the Technion.
