About the speaker
Andrew Endicott is co-founder and General Partner of Gilgamesh Ventures, a global early-stage fintech fund with 45 investments from pre-seed to Series A. Before Gilgamesh, he co-founded Petal, a credit card that uses bank data to approve people with little or no credit history. Petal raised nearly $300 million in equity from investors including Peter Thiel's Valar Ventures and reached an $800 million valuation before Empower acquired it in 2024. Earlier, Andrew was an investment banker at Lazard and a corporate lawyer at Willkie Farr & Gallagher. He holds a JD from Harvard Law School and a BSBA from the University of Arkansas Walton College of Business. He has served on the board of Encore Bank since 2019 and is the author of Is Finance Technology? (2026).
