EAxRationality workshops to get more done in less time!
What we're going to do
This day is all about how to get more done in less time, be it through practical techniques, general updates of your thinking, or helping each other out solving problems you might be stuck on on your own.
Increasing Productivity: Productivity techniques come in many types and flavors. But which actually work? This session contains 11 applied productivity techniques sourced from MIT professors, Y combinator startup successes, and general cognitive science. Many previous workshop attendees have reported adopting some of these in their daily routines!
Being a Rational Agent: There are many tools and techniques people can learn to improve their thinking or executive function, but many struggle to actually use them in day-to-day life. Those who do tend to have deeper "generators" that lead to them living more calibrated, wise, agentic lives, and while one hour isn't enough to fully install and power them up, it might be enough to light the spark.
Pair Debugging: No matter how smart or agentic you are, it's important to have others around to help you get unstuck, or speed up your solution search process. Building a good social network includes practicing being a good rubber duck, listener, and collaborative problem solver yourself.
