Studio Sessions: CPC Hub Kick-off
Quick Overview
What the CPC Event is & why it matters for Hubs: Over the next phase, we are producing locally-sourced, verifiable Government & Emerging Markets Entry Playbooks for the Cardano Product Committee (RFP-05). Rather than top-down desk consulting, this work will be anchored by 3 funded Regional Hubs (forming a trans-local cohort alongside Prisma) who will each coordinate ~3 local teams to conduct 10–15 structured interviews with real regional decision-makers—regulators, public-sector officials, payment infrastructure providers, agricultural cooperatives, and local delivery partners.
If you represent a hub or want to be involved in the CPC Event, you’re invited to join in so we can connect and align from there. We are bringing the top candidate hubs together now to share the project scope, walk through the Event Contract (atproto + Verifiable Credentials) stack that tracks hub attribution, and invite hubs to opt in early since scheduling local institutional interviews takes time.
Public Statement
WHY.
The purpose of this project is to generate market entry playbooks to drive adoption of Cardano in emerging markets (LATAM and Africa). This milestone finalises initial commitments and confirms alignment between funded proposer and product committee, via a number of documents (milestone 1 deliverables).
WHERE.
This is important because the playbooks are locally-sourced. Spanning multiple regions and enabling local actors to publish the playbooks themselves, the project, once underway, must be able to navigate a high level of complexity without getting stuck in unnecessary explanations part-way through. Slow is smooth; smooth is fast. This milestone therefore aimed to create ample time for all parties to understand how best to steward the rest of the project as it unfolds. For those not familiar with working on living systems, this time for initial alignment and understanding was key.
WHAT.
Information and understanding was developed via an interactive, multi-media and highly networked repository of documentation. Key counterparties - those we expect to collaborate with in due course - were engaged ahead of time to introduce a shared intention as early as possible. Graphics were used to create visuals to aid with internalising the system complexity, creating a shared language form in complement to text. The space was prepared for training materials, as part of ensuring local actors are able to learn what is needed for them to be fully unlocked to contribute effectively, from their full agency. Practically, this meant translating from the what of the proposal to the how of organising with local actors.
SO WHAT.
Like many blockchains, Cardano continues to face challenges in real-world adoption. There is a gap between the projection of what new capabilities its technology could create and the realities of everyday people, businesses and individuals alike. This project affirms there is no one that better understands those realities than the people themselves, and it enables them to author their own adoption pathways: their narratives, their language, their needs and opportunities. That’s what locally-sourced market entry playbooks means. We’re also not stopping there. Leveraging a recently completed technical build (thanks to Catalyst for funding) we’re planning to use verifiable claims (VCs) to add an additional layer of security to the playbooks, giving the client, Cardano Product Committee, the assurance they need to action the insights published. This is a highly ambitious scope, given the budget and current ADA price, but we want to see these playbooks being used to direct resources to local actors that can embed Cardano at the heart of existing organisations playing a key role in their region. In that way, we hope to see meaningful steps being taken to connect emerging realities with relevant Cardano adoption to create real-world value beyond the Cardano ecosystem itself.
