The ETH Robotics Club is pleased to invite you to the first edition of its weekly INSPIRE talk featuring Prof. Raffaello D'Andrea.

About the speaker

Prof. Raffaello D’Andrea is an ETH professor, engineer, artist, and entrepreneur. He co-founded Kiva Systems (now Amazon Robotics), is co-founder of Verity (drone-enabled warehouse automation), and developed platforms like Cubli and the Flying Machine Arena at ETH Zürich. His work spans research, industry, and art, including drone choreographies for Cirque du Soleil and Metallica.

Raffaello D'Andrea is a member of the National Academy of Engineering, the National Inventors Hall of Fame, and the Logistics Hall of Fame. He has received the Engelberger Robotics Award and the IEEE Robotics and Automation Award and is named as an inventor on over 100 patents.

The INSPIRE series is an integral part of the ETH Robotics Club’s weekly Robotics Nights. Each week, experts from robotics and related disciplines deliver talks that highlight big-picture perspectives and innovative ideas. The series is designed to spark curiosity and broaden horizons, while remaining accessible and engaging even after a full day of academic work.
