About Event

Did you know that intentionally noticing and cultivating joy can support your wellbeing?

When we make space to notice and linger in moments of joy, we can strengthen them over time and build greater emotional capacity in our everyday lives. Research shows that noticing and cultivating positive emotions like joy is linked to greater emotional resilience, improved stress recovery, and a stronger sense of wellbeing over time.

For this session we will be focussing on: Daydreaming!

• Exploring the power of dreaming
• A daydreaming activity that offers us a dedicated space to daydream
• Space for reflective discussion and sharing

In these sessions we always honour how important joy can be as a form of liberation and resistance, whilst acknowledging some of the challenge with it. This can be especially important if you are someone whose identity is minoritised.

This session is gentle, reflective, and grounded in care. There is no pressure to share or perform.

About the facilitator

This session is facilitated by Sellisha, founder of Sorabird Co. Her work is rooted in intersectionality, anti-racism, and inclusive wellbeing, informed by years of facilitating training and conversations in organisational and community settings.

Sorabird and the wellbeing sessions it offers are an attempt to create the kind of spaces she wished existed, spaces where identity and difference can be held, rather than dismissed.

Pricing
These sessions are free of charge, with a recommended donation to support our community work. Please give what feels right for you. Your presence is what matters most.
