Early Years Connecting Families: Exploring Sensory Play with SENSE

Parents and carers of early years children – join us for an online session exploring sensory play and early development for children with a vision impairment.

This session has been designed to help families understand the role of sensory play in supporting development and explore practical ways to encourage learning through everyday activities.

We'll be joined by an MSI (Multi‑Sensory Impairment) Practitioner from Sense, who works with children and families to find ways to support play, interaction, communication, access to information, and independence. They will share practical advice and answer your questions.

What we'll cover:

  • The role of sensory play in learning and development

  • Supporting communication and early development through play

What to expect:

  • Advice and guidance from an MSI Practitioner

  • A supportive space to ask questions and connect with other parents and carers of early years children with VI

This session will take place online, and we’ll send you the Zoom details once you’ve registered for the event.

If you have any questions, please contact Harriet, RSBC Family Activity Coordinator, at harriet.hemmings@rsbc.org.uk
