Join us at the Google for Startups Campus for an afternoon dedicated to the latest AI breakthroughs and updates from Google I/O.

This event is specifically designed for Founders, CTOs, and Developers who are ready to leverage next-generation AI to scale their startups. Get a first look at the latest I/O announcements, witness live demos of the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform, and dive deep into Google DeepMind’s newest models.

2:05 PM — Welcome: The Developer Ecosystem Sherry Xu Welcome remark from Developer Ecosystem to open “Build with AI for Startups”

2:15 PM — Session 1: The I/O Recap Fresh from Google I/O, Kaz Sato and Sherry Xu
This session will be a recap of Google/s I/O this year, highlighting our latest advances in AI reasoning models, autonomous agent technology, and generative media capabilities.

2:45 PM — Break A quick 5-minute transition to recharge before our technical demos.

2:50 PM — Session 2: The Agent Revolution (Live Demo) Haren Bhandari
In this Session I will introduce the newly announced Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform and do a quick walkthrough to show the key components and how they work.

3:10 PM — Interactive: The AI Prompt War led by Haren Bhandari.
We will play a fun game together by using Google’s latest AI!

3:30 PM — Session 3: Gemma 4 and AI Studio from Google DeepMind with Juyeong Ji 
In this session, we will explore Google AI Studio as the fastest way for developers to prototype and build generative AI applications. After walking through that core developer workflow, we will shift to a strategic discussion tailored for founders and CTOs: choosing the right model architecture for your startup. We will break down the differences between using Gemini via API versus deploying open-weights models like Gemma, focusing on total cost of ownership, performance tradeoffs, and capital expenditure. Finally, we will show you two versions of the same app, one using Gemma 4, one using Gemini via API.

SPEAKERS

Sherry Xu - Head of Developer Ecosystem for Google Japan. She is the voice of Google to developers; in her role, she aims to bridge the gap between Google and global developer communities. She leads the Google Developer Program, Google Developer Experts Program, and Startup Accelerator Program. Sherry joined Google in 2018, having previously worked at the United Nations New York Headquarter. She holds a Master’s degree from New York University.

Kaz Sato - Staff Developer Advocate from the Cloud AI team, has authored over 25 ML/AI blogs and demos for Google Cloud's official blog. His work has garnered attention from Jeff Dean and Eric Schmidt, and been featured in Newsweek and The New Yorker. He's a regular speaker at Google I/O and Cloud Next, and has presented internationally in 17 countries. Kaz also shares ML/AI updates with his 23,000 X followers.

Haren Bhandari - Haren works as a Senior Developer Relations Engineer in Tokyo. He works very closely with the developers and help them in their Google Cloud Journey via hands-on sessions, code samples, and blog articles.

Juyeong Ji - Formerly a PlayStation System Software Engineer at Sony and Technical Solutions Consultant at Google (Stadia), now building the future of AI on the Google DeepMind DevX Team.
