January 2026 Gazebo Community Meeting
Join us for our first Gazebo Community Meeting of 2026!
Our guest speakers for January will be Khalid Bourr, Stefano Seriani, and Simone Cottiga from unitsSpaceLab University of Trieste, Italy. They will be speaking about the recent release of Forest3D. Forest3D is a tool that generates realistic outdoor Gazebo environments from DEM data and Blender assets. It automates terrain generation, Blender-to-Gazebo conversion, and procedural placement of vegetation for off-road robotics and autonomous navigation. It can also be paired with our Bekker-Wong terramechanics plugin for full-stack terrain simulation.
