About Event

Registration opens up soon! Get ready!

Build it. Code it. Put it to the test.

Forget everything you know about a traditional hackathon. This is one day, two tracks, and a whole lot of hardware.

Pick your challenge, build something real, and spend the day working alongside Qualcomm engineers and mentors who will help you take your project from idea to working demo.

Choose Your Track

⚽ Track 1: Train a Robot to Score

Your challenge: take a Qualcomm-powered robocar and teach it to see, navigate, find the goal, and score autonomously.

Using our Robot Soccer Cup resources, you'll work with robotics, computer vision, and on-device AI to train your robocar to complete the challenge entirely on its own.

There are no 1:1 matches this time. Instead, every team gets the same mission:

Which robocar can identify the goal and score first?

You'll have the day to build, tune, test, break things, fix them, and make your robot faster and smarter before putting it through the final challenge.

🕹️ Track 2: Build Your Own Arcade Game

Prefer building something you can play?

Grab an Arduino UNO Q Arcade Bundle and build your own arcade game from scratch.

You'll work with the UNO Q hardware and turn your idea into a playable experience by the end of the day. Make it nostalgic, competitive, weird, chaotic — that's entirely up to you.

What's in it for you?

  • 🛠️ Real hands-on build time with hardware, AI, robotics, or game development — not slides, not theory

  • 🤖 Two completely different tracks depending on what you want to explore

  • 🤝 A full day with Qualcomm mentors and engineers on-site to help you troubleshoot, experiment, and keep building

  • 📄 A project you can actually talk about on your resume, portfolio, or in interviews

  • 🎒 No prior robotics or hardware experience required — we'll give you the resources you need to get started

  • 🧰 All hardware provided by Qualcomm for both tracks

Before the Event

We don't want your first hour at the event to be spent figuring out where to start.

Qualcomm will provide Developer Journey Guides for both tracks so you can familiarize yourself with the hardware, tools, and challenge ahead of time.

We'll also host office hours before the event, giving you a chance to meet the mentors, ask questions, get your development environment ready, and make sure you're set up for success before the big day.

On event day, Qualcomm mentors will be available on-site throughout the entire experience to answer questions, help debug problems, and keep your project moving.

Step 1: Register on Luma today (Space is limited!)
Step 2: Check your Northeastern Email for a pre-event resources and updates
Step 3: Honor your spot + commitment by showing up and participating (or let us know if you can't make it so we can prepare accordingly)
Step 4: Remember to update your career capital (resume, LinkedIn, portfolios) with what you learned and built from this workshop!
