Angel Curious: Reverse Angel Pitch Night
An inside look at how real angel investors think, decide and support founders, with angels pitching themselves to you.
Angel investing can look mysterious from the outside. At Angel Curious: Reverse Angel Pitch Night, we’re flipping the script so you can see how it really works.
Instead of founders pitching investors, 3–5 experienced angel investors will get on stage and pitch themselves to a room full of early-stage founders and angel-curious operators. They’ll share how they think about deals, what they’re like to work with, and who they’re actually a great fit for.
You’ll hear candid stories about first cheques, misses, mistakes, portfolio wins and what they wish they’d known when they started, without the shark-tank theatrics.
Who this is for
This event is ideal if you are:
A founder from idea to seed stage who wants to understand how angels really make decisions, and how to choose the right ones for your cap table.
An operator, founder or professional who is angel-curious and thinking about writing your first cheque.
An ecosystem builder, advisor or community organiser who wants to better support founders and angels.
You do not need any prior fundraising or investing experience. Just bring curiosity.
What you will get from the night
On the night, you’ll:
See 3–5 angels give short 5–7 minute “open mic” pitches about who they are as investors, their thesis and sweet spot, and what it is like to work with them.
Hear concrete examples of how they help founders beyond the cheque: introductions, hiring, strategy, follow-on fundraising and more.
Learn how they evaluate deals, what they look for in founders, and where their boundaries and biases are.
Get practical tips for founders raising angel rounds and for new angels making their first investments.
Listen in as a panel of founder judges assesses the pitches and names a “founders’ choice” winner and runner-up.
We’ll keep it candid, jargon-light and story-driven. Expect real talk about risk, regret, cap tables and the emotional side of both founding and investing.
