Ceramics Exploration: Making Holiday Ornaments

​Peer 1 on 1's Beach Cities Branch invites neurodivergent individuals to join the ceramics therapeutic session to make holiday ornaments. This is a free event for neurodiverse kids and youth to engage in play, discovery, and healing through hands-on making of clay.

​This session will be led by Tia Santana, Assistant Professor of Art in the Ceramics Department at California State University, Long Beach. She brings over 20 years of experience working with community-based clay programs that connect healing and art as therapy.

​Each neurodivergent participant should be accompanied by a guardian. Our volunteers will support participants during activities and facilitate social interaction.
