Regional University Research Collective Stakeholder Session
Join leaders from universities, government, civic organizations, philanthropy, and industry for an interactive session shaping a regional innovation initiative. With support from the Kauffman Foundation, the Regional University Research Collective (RURC) is building a framework to expand research, strengthen commercialization, and attract investment to fuel Kansas City’s growth.
This discussion-driven session (limited to ~60 participants) will focus on:
Regional context & national opportunities (NSF Engines, Tech Hubs, BBB)
Draft framework priorities: research responsiveness, commercialization pathways, capital alignment, and storytelling
Partner engagement and feedback to refine the strategy together
Coffee and networking at 9:30am. Program begins promptly at 10am. Box lunches provided at the close.
