BAMM (Buenos Aires Motion Makers) April Meetup
Can't make the day? Join our Whatsapp Group for future events!
🇺🇸🗣️
Are you a motion designer in Buenos Aires who spends more time moving keyframes than exchanging ideas with other creatives? We get it.
We’re Buenos Aires Motion Makers (BAMM) — a community of local and international creatives who come together to share work, exchange ideas, collaborate, and grow alongside each other.
This isn’t traditional networking. It’s creative connection.
If you…
💫 Love motion graphics or an adjacent discipline
💫 Want to meet collaborators, not just contacts
💫 Have ideas, projects, or perspectives you want to share
💫 Learn best by talking, doing, and building with others
💫 Crave genuine, human connection
…then this community was designed for you.
Join us for our April monthly meetup in the city centro, at 4 PM on Friday, April 17th!
What to expect:
✨ Mini Share Sessions
You’ll join a small, intentionally curated group where each person shares something they want to put into the room with the group. This could be a short presentation about your journey in your craft, something you’re building and want to put out into the world, a project you'd like feedback on, or an idea you’re exploring.
🧩 Connection Activities (no awkward networking nonsense)
Playful activities designed to help you meet a lot of people in a natural, low-pressure way, without forced small talk.
🛠️ Creative Collaboration Activity
You’ll team up in small groups to create something together, sparking ideas and getting out of your head and into motion.
Where is it?
We’re collaborating with Éter, located at the top of the iconic Bencich Building, a historical landmark completed in 1927.
Photography
Our event will be photographed by Anna Blank. Final photos are included in your ticket, so feel free to dress your best and juje up your LinkedIn profile.
Registration 🎟️
Spots are limited and registration is required and closes April 15th, so snag your spot now!
We’re building a space where people can show up as themselves, feel respected, and actually connect. Come with openness, curiosity, and kindness. Any form of discrimination, harassment, or exclusion won’t fly here 🚫
FAQ
What language do you speak?
We’ll be hosting this one in English 🇺🇸. We’re usually a bilingual crew, but our Native Spanish-speaking hosts is off in Spain this month. Either way, this is a safe space, feel free to practice your second language.
Do I need to be a professional motion designer to come?
Not at all. Whether you’re freelancing, studying, experimenting in After Effects, or simply curious about motion graphics, you’re welcome here. And if you’ve got a friend who isn’t a motion designer but loves creativity and wants to learn more, bring them along, curiosity counts.
What does my ticket cost cover?
A hosted experience at the Bencich Building, professional photos by Anna Blank, light snacks and champagne, and the time, energy, and care put into designing and hosting the experience.
What if I don’t know anyone or don’t love networking events?
You’re exactly who we’ve designed this for. This isn’t about self-promotion or awkward mingling. Every part of the experience is intentionally structured to help connection feel natural through small groups and guided, collaborative moments.
The Organizers:
BAMM
BAMM is a Buenos Aires-based community for motion designers craving real-world connection. It was founded by Martín Ariel, a BA-born creative director currently roaming Spain, and Michelle McDonald, a Washington State expat and surreal visual storyteller — two people who met in an online critique and turned a shared vision into a growing creative hub for the city's motion community.
Eter
Éter is a space founded by Matías Higa and Daria Lvova, where immersive formats create a distinct way of engaging with art and culture. Set within a historic building with panoramic city views, Éter hosts multilayered, carefully orchestrated events of a high standard. It brings together creators across disciplines, as well as entrepreneurs and CEOs, fostering an environment for meaningful connections and high-quality collaborations.
